This transfer will be approximately three hours.

You will spend two hours enjoying a private tour around the city of Chichen Itza. The majestic ruins of the Mayan civilization are an essential part of any trip to the Yucatan. Built-in the late classical period, Chichén Itzá means "mouth of the well" and covers about five kilometers of surface. The ancient Mayan ruins are preserved in their original splendor and during our tour, you will be able to contemplate in the Temple of the Warriors with an impressive group of a thousand columns, an observatory, also called the Caracol, the Kukulkán pyramid, ball court, and the Tzompantli among others. It is a place declared as one of the New Wonders of the World whose protagonist is the Pyramid of Kukulkán, also called El Castillo.

Hacienda Selva Maya is a restaurant and cenote just outside of Valladolid. This place makes for a good stop after visiting Chichen Itza.

Spend the day getting to know Holbox Island or enjoy some snorkeling in Cape Catoche!

This transfer will take 30 minutes. Holbox ("black hole" in Yucatec Maya) is an island in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located on the north coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is approximately 41.84 kilometres (26.00 miles) long and 1.5 kilometres (0.9 miles) wide, and it is separated from the mainland by 10 km of shallow lagoon that is home to flamingos, pelicans and other rich birdlife. Holbox Island is part of the Municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas and also part of the Yum Balam Biosphere Reserve.

Upon arrival, you will have an optional activity or Snorkeling in Cape Catoche or we will get you a golf cart (additional $25 USD) so you can get to know the island.

Key Information for Travelers to Mexico:
- Make sure you are fully vaccinated before traveling to Mexico.
- Unvaccinated travelers should avoid nonessential travel to Mexico.

- Travelers should follow recommendations or requirements in Mexico, including wearing a mask and staying 6 feet apart from others.
Do not travel internationally until you are fully vaccinated Getting vaccinated is still the best way to protect yourself from severe disease, slow the spread of COVID-19, and reduce the number of new variants. CDC encourages you get a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose if you are eligible. People who are not fully vaccinated should follow additional recommendations before, during, and after travel.

Traveling with Children:
We love kids! Children under 18 years of age must have proper documentation, including a valid passport and letter of parental consent. Children traveling with one parent require a notarized letter of authority from the other parent indicating travel consent.
- Travel with your money and passport in separate places in case of robbery or loss.
- Keep valuables and money in a safe place, and only carry as much money as you will need for the day.
- Be sure that your insurance plan covers emergencies outside of your country. If not, think about getting travel insurance.
- Label your luggage inside and out (name, address and phone number).
- Carry extra batteries for cameras and electronic devices. You may not have time or be able to get them here. bites and rashes, medicine for diarrhea, pain medication).
- Protect your camera, batteries etc. in plastic bags, in the case of moisture from the humid region as moisture could penetrate your electronic equipment.
- Leave a copy of your itinerary, airline tickets, passport, driver’s license, credit cards, traveler’s

- Remember that you are a visitor in the country so be mindful of Immigration and other practices.
- Protection against insects. Insects are attracted to a series of things that you could have in your luggage such as soap and lotions. Non-dangerous insects won’t bother people, but it’s better to keep them away from your clothes.
- Bring a charger for your phone or any other electronic devices.
- Stay away from large crowds.
What time of the year is the best to travel to Yucatan North and Cancun?
You may visit Yucatan North and Cancun any time of the year.
The rainy season runs from June to November when annual Yucatan North and Cancun rainfall is highest. This region does have heavy rain showers throughout the year. The early months of May and June when rainfall is just getting underway, are a good time to travel to the Yucatan area as you can escape the tourist rush and hotel rates tend to be lower.
What do I have to pack for my trip to the Yucatan region?
It is important to take into account that the weather conditions vary place-to-place, determinate by elevation and time of year. When packing consider: Light, practical clothing, especially short-sleeve shirts and fast-drying cotton pants.
There is no rigid “dressing code” to follow. Casual wearing is the most recommendable everywhere. It is suggested to take a waterproof garment as in some areas of the country it is rainy year-round.
Among the main suggested items in your suitcase, we recommend including:
- Sun block and insect repellent.
- Casual clothes for trips to the city.
- Cotton or light synthetic fabric shirts, short or long
- Cotton or light synthetic fabric pants (jeans are not recommended as they do not dry quickly).
- Shorts for hiking.
- Shoes: Lightweight hiking shoes or boots, sandals, tennis or running shoes.
- Socks: take an extra pair in case your feet get wet.
- Hat with visor for the rain and sun.
- Camera (plus extra film or memory cards).
- An extra prescription for eyeglasses and medications (if applicable).
- Sweater or Jacket.
- Swimming suit.
- Any medical prescription you might be taking at the time of your trip.
Is there a visa and passport required to enter Mexico?
Travelers with passports from the United States, Canada and most European countries do not require a visa to enter. It is necessary to have a valid passport to enter the country with at least 6 months before the expiration date remaining.
Do I need any vaccinations before coming to Mexico?
No vaccine is needed to enter the country.
During my visit, can I pay with a debit or credit?
It is recommended that you bring cash in Mexican Pesos as many places don’t accept credit cards. Some places even accept US Dollars.
How does tipping for services work?
Locally the restaurants include a 10% of service tax on their bills covering the tipping, this is the only exception. Bellboys, cab drivers, tour guides and chambermaids do not have a tip included on the service they provide. The amount of the tip is at your discretion but 10% is recommended.
If I need to contact my embassy in Mexico, how can I do it?
Any hotel or place of lodging will help you in this regard.
Do I have to carry my passport with me all the time?
Due to safety reasons is better to carry a copy of your hotel safety deposit box in order to keep your passport safe. If you must, bring a paper copy of your passport with you.
Will my cellular phone work in Mexico?
Your phone will most likely work but contact your carrier beforehand to be sure.
What is the electrical system?
The electrical system is 110 volts / 60 Hz. You can use standard American plugs for your hair dryer, razor, and other things.
Is the tap water potable?
The water is not potable in most of the country, so it is suggested to drink bottled or purified water.
What should I bring to the beach in Mexico?
Here is a list of items you might want to consider for a day at the beach:

What do I need to know for my flight to Mexico?
Minors need a notarized letter from one or both parents if they are not traveling with them. If you are carrying on any bags on your flight, you are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and paste not totaling more than 3.4 ounces per item.
